Tempest ArchiveTHE LIVING RECORD

Story sequence

Rimuru travels to the Kingdom of Ingrassia and meets Shizu's five young students. Summoned children usually cannot survive the uncontrolled magicules placed in them, and the academy has no reliable cure. Rimuru takes over their class while researching Shizu's incomplete solution.

He determines that a compatible superior spirit can stabilize each child by giving the excess energy a structured form. With Yuuki Kagurazaka's cooperation, the group enters Ramiris's Dwelling of Spirits, a maze connected to the fairy Demon Lord's domain.

Kenya receives a light spirit; the others gain spirits or artificial spiritual constructs matched through Rimuru's analysis. Chloe attracts an unidentified future-linked spiritual presence whose power alarms Ramiris and whose connection is not explained at the time.

The children survive the process. Rimuru gives them masks and protection, then prepares to return to Tempest, believing he has completed the most direct part of Shizu's request.

Motivations

  • Rimuru refuses to accept that the children are disposable consequences of summoning.
  • Ramiris wants entertainment and friendship but also understands spirits well enough to make the rescue possible.

Outcome

All five children are stabilized; Chloe receives a mysterious spirit tied to her future self and Chronoa.

Consequences

  • The children become lasting allies rather than short-lived victims.
  • Chloe's spirit integration is a visible point in the closed time loop that later protects Rimuru's history.
Why this matters later

A promise to Shizu pulls Rimuru into the time-travel plot long before he understands that it exists.
