Story sequence
Dagruel's barren domain cannot support its growing giant population, and conflict with Luminous over fertile territory has existed beneath their truce for generations. Feldway exploits that pressure and releases Fenn, Dagruel's destructive brother, making war appear to be the only remaining path.
Shion commands defenders at Lubelius and evolves through battle against opponents whose raw energy exceeds ordinary Demon Lord levels. Her causality-altering Cook lineage develops into a higher authority often translated through the Susanoo line, letting her force outcomes that should be impossible by normal comparison.
Dagruel combines with his brothers into the ancient giant form Ashura. Veldora enters the front because conventional armies cannot contain the resulting power, and their clash revisits a rivalry from long before Tempest existed.
The final resolution requires separating the giant crisis from Feldway's plan and addressing the underlying problem of land and energy. Victory alone would merely recreate the same pressure later.
Motivations
- Dagruel wants a future for his people and believes the old territorial balance has become unsustainable.
- Luminous defends her citizens and sacred domain while understanding that the giants' scarcity is real.
Outcome
Lubelius survives; Veldora and Shion stop the giant offensive; the conflict moves toward a settlement rather than extermination.
Consequences
- Shion proves capable of influencing battles near the True Dragon tier.
- Veldora is occupied away from Tempest while Feldway advances other fronts.
Even during the final war, geopolitical causes still matter: Feldway succeeds by turning unresolved material problems into weapons.
